A lot of thought has been put into the presentation. The fonts on the enclosed leaflets could be bigger for ease of reading unless the manufacturer has failed to issue a magnifying glass with the package. The product lived up to the manufacturer's claim to a point. There were times when callers had difficulty making out what was said as the product did not cancel out all the background noise especially in canteens. At other times callers could not hear what was said because of a sudden surge of volumn. For those who wish to cross reference, the product was connected to a blackberry bold. The product was presented in a very attractive package. A lot of thought has been put into the presentation. The fonts on the enclosed leaflets could be bigger for ease of reading unless the manufacturer has failed to issue a magnifying glass with the package. The product lived up to the manufacturer’s claim to a point. There were times when callers had difficulty making out what was said as the product did not cancel out all the background noise especially in canteens. At other times callers could not hear what was said because of a sudden surge of volumn. For those who wish to cross reference, the product was connected to a blackberry bold. Perhaps the Jawbone Era may perform better than the icon.

I have this device from many months now. I always use it no matter if my hands are free or not. I avoid talking directly with the phone because of the high power radio waves the phone emits. Bluetooth device is emitting far less power radio waves. The ICON device is stylish and stays good and firm in the ear. Sound quality is high, it supports HD audio. You wouldn’t expect more. The battery life is just fine. I charge it once a week and the best thing is that charge cycle is less than half an hour. There are some nice applications for Android and iPhone, but I cannot comment as I am using Windows Mobile 6.5.

Overall I enjoy having such a great product and I am looking forward to see future stuff with the same touch.

I loved this product, but the one from Amazon had to be returned as it frequently lost output from the speaker. Alpha thought I’d bought it secondhand as there’s a known fault with associated with the latest firmware, however, I had not updated it and it was listed as new. Got a replacement from my high street store, which has worked fine for weeks so far with no issues – but it was twice the price!

I've NEVER experienced such an awkward phone to use. Really hard to navigate around. Not user friendly at all. I make a lot of calls where I have to type in numbers during the call (don't we all now days, with all the automated answering services) and it's a nightmare to navigate quickly from the black screen (it times out so darn quickly - even with the settings adjusted) to where the key pad is displayed again. By the time you've got where you want to be and pressed the correct digit, then listened to the next instruction - the flaming screen's gone black again. Drives me nuts. Sending texts too, is just as awkward. I actually avoid using the phone.<br/><br/>Additionally, I find the touch screen unresponsive (mind you, I am used to an iPod Touch superb response) and the whole menu system awkward and 'over busy'.<br/><br/>Nah, dont rate this phone one bit.<br/><br/>And one small note, it isn't possible to unlock this model phone from the Tesco network using a IMEI generated code. Let’s put it this way – I’ve just lobbed mine out of the window. I’ve NEVER experienced such an awkward phone to use. Really hard to navigate around. Not user friendly at all. I make a lot of calls where I have to type in numbers during the call (don’t we all now days, with all the automated answering services) and it’s a nightmare to navigate quickly from the black screen (it times out so darn quickly – even with the settings adjusted) to where the key pad is displayed again. By the time you’ve got where you want to be and pressed the correct digit, then listened to the next instruction – the flaming screen’s gone black again. Drives me nuts. Sending texts too, is just as awkward. I actually avoid using the phone.

Additionally, I find the touch screen unresponsive (mind you, I am used to an iPod Touch superb response) and the whole menu system awkward and ‘over busy’.

Nah, dont rate this phone one bit.

And one small note, it isn’t possible to unlock this model phone from the Tesco network using a IMEI generated code. Don’t be lulled by the promises of the online ‘Unlock’ companies. :)

Got this for my father, who was looking for a phone to replace his mobile. He had initially ordered this one from a catalogue, but was out of stock, then managed to find it on Amazon for nearly £30 cheaper! Early days yet, but he is impressed with the large buttons, and also the size and clarity of the text on the phone. He is hard of hearing and has, so far, found it easy to hear what is being said over the phone, as well as hear the phone ringing. He isn’t someone who uses a mobile much, but this does everything he needs it to. Sim-free also, so able to put his own sim card in and get started.

I bought this for my dad who is 83 and has poor eyesight and arthritis in his hands.
It was easy to set up, transferring his SIM from his previous (Vodafone) phone was no problem.
He finds the large keys and clear screen much easier than his previous phone and the battery life is good. I bough the charging cradle accessory so he can drop it onto that when it needs charged.
They say the ringer is the loudest of any phone and they are not kidding!
The build quality/materials are pretty cheap but it is robust enough to withstand being dropped, even on concrete

I get on fine with touch screens but though the physical qwerty might be nice for longer typing/emails etc. I was wrong. It is not just good for longer typing, but I find myself using it for just about ALL typing.<br/><br/>The screen is nice and responsive, like any top notch modern phone and works well. The keys are well spaced and the phone being kept within the 3.7 inch screen size means it is easy to use with two hands, there is no stretching your fingers to reach the opposite sides.<br/><br/>Android and all the usual features are included, which I don't think there is any need to go into here. Sony's UI is nice to use, all works well with no problems with mine.<br/><br/>CAMERA: This is one of the poorest aspects of this phone. The specs sound good but the pictures that result are average at best. Nice bright, sunny days you will get good enough pictures outdoors, but low light or indoors and it struggles to focus, has high noise too.<br/><br/>Overall a good phone for the money. I bought this phone for the sake of a physical qwerty keypad when my Samsung Galaxy SII was damaged. I get on fine with touch screens but though the physical qwerty might be nice for longer typing/emails etc. I was wrong. It is not just good for longer typing, but I find myself using it for just about ALL typing.

The screen is nice and responsive, like any top notch modern phone and works well. The keys are well spaced and the phone being kept within the 3.7 inch screen size means it is easy to use with two hands, there is no stretching your fingers to reach the opposite sides.

Android and all the usual features are included, which I don’t think there is any need to go into here. Sony’s UI is nice to use, all works well with no problems with mine.

CAMERA: This is one of the poorest aspects of this phone. The specs sound good but the pictures that result are average at best. Nice bright, sunny days you will get good enough pictures outdoors, but low light or indoors and it struggles to focus, has high noise too.

Overall a good phone for the money. Lots of good points and if you want a modern Android phone with a physical keypad there is no better out there in the UK to date.
